Canonical Digests for Compressed Archives

Saed Kezel and I presented a new technique to create canonical digests for compressed archives that is independent of compression algorithm and archive format. The digests enable off-line and remote comparison of compressed archives with differing metadata fields. They can help with tasks such as download deduplication, content distribution, and compression flexibility.
